Terms of Service

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in order to purchase or use Whiskers. If you access or use Whiskers on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Whiskers is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable fee, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Whiskers for your own internal personal or business use.

• You may not resell, sublicense, lease, distribute, or make Whiskers available to third parties except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from Whiskers except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• All intellectual property rights in Whiskers, the website, branding, and related materials remain with Whiskers and its licensors.

Whiskers currently requires macOS 15 or later and is available only for Apple Silicon Macs. We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features or compatibility over time.

Optional third-party providers used for cloud transcription, payments, or AI cleanup are outside our control and may change or become unavailable at any time.

If you purchase Whiskers directly from us, you agree to pay the price shown at checkout together with any applicable taxes or charges. Payment processing is handled by the applicable payment provider. Your purchase may be subject to additional terms required by that provider.

Direct purchases of Whiskers are eligible for a refund if you contact us within 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, email hello@whiskers.app. We may refuse refund requests that fall outside the stated period or that involve abuse, fraud, or misuse of the refund policy.

• You may not use Whiskers in violation of applicable law or regulation.
• You may not use Whiskers to infringe the rights of others, distribute malicious content, or facilitate unlawful conduct.
• You are responsible for your own use of optional third-party APIs, including compliance with those providers' terms, billing, and usage restrictions.

Whiskers may interoperate with third-party services that you choose to configure or use, including payment providers, cloud transcription engines, and AI providers. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or terms of those third parties.

We may provide updates, patches, or changes to Whiskers at our discretion. Some updates may be necessary for compatibility, security, or continued functionality. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely.

Whiskers is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whiskers and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, use, or data, arising out of or related to your use of Whiskers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Whiskers will not exceed the amount you paid us for the applicable license in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We may suspend or terminate access to the website, license fulfillment, or support if you materially breach these Terms, engage in abuse or fraud, or create legal or security risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of Whiskers is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
